LINDA WARD 1953-2007

Welcome. We are two friends of Linda Ward and her husband Derek Youngs (Peace Walker). Recently, our dear friend Lin passed away. Her life was an inspiration, and her spirit will continue to live on in us all.

Back in November of 2006, Lin was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. She and Derek, and all of us who heard the news, felt shocked and helpless. But Lin was determined to embark on a healing journey, and she committed herself to doing all she could to heal her body and soul. Not many people would be so willing to share such a challenging experience, but in doing so, she touched us, she taught us, and helped us all remember what is important in our own fragile lives.

In sharing her journey, Lin gave us an invaluable gift. Through Lin's Healing Circle of Friends, she enabled us to make a difference for her and for ourselves. Sometimes when someone is seriously ill, there's nothing that can be "done". It's in our nature to want to fix things, but sometimes things can't be fixed. But- love, the love we all have in abundance, heals without "doing". The healing circle became the proverbial ripple in the pond, and with Lin at the centre, love spread across the world. We received messages from friends of friends, and even strangers, who had read Lin's journal and sent love and words of support and kindness.

We extend our gratitude to all of our Friends at this time. You all make a difference.
